If you are a current family or prospective family or just friends with anyone involved, you are welcome to join us! Bring something to grill (we'll have hot dogs, not dogs and snacks to share too), a blanket to sit on, warm clothes (it can be cold in the redwoods), and be sure to dress your children in clothes that can get properly dirty! You may want to bring a change of clothes too as the creek is often running and any good party includes creek wading.

Kelly Takunda Orphan

We are excited to have Kelly Takunda Orphan playing with us! As a vocalist, percussionist, songwriter and dancer, Kelly has both taught and performed music around the world. She was raised in a family of mixed-heritage musicians in the Bay Area, sang in her church choir, studied piano, voice and percussion and toured with Babatunde Olatunji before moving to Zimbabwe and deepening her passion for both the people and the music and dance from Zimbabwe. Kelly is now the K-2 Music Teacher at Marin Country Day School and leads her own 10-piece world music ensemble, The KTO Project.
